Leave Santa Alone!

We had a great night on October 31st at our Trunk or Treat event. We had 45 cars involved. These were each decorated. The creativity was impressive. Those who attended walked from car to car and received a ton of candy. Those who attended also voted for their favorite vehicle.

The winner was none other than Santa and Mrs. Claus. There were a few (turkeys) who cried foul because Santa didn't actually have a trunk. Hello! McFly! Santa doesn't have a car, he has a sleigh! There were threats of filing a protest. My advice? If you want coal in your stocking go ahead. Otherwise..."Leave Santa Alone!"

It's A Masterpiece

I love this time of the year. The weather is cool, but not too cold. YET! I was out running yesterday and was just reminded of God's awesome power. The leaves are falling off of the trees. As I took a long look up the trail I was on I saw some incredible colors. No two trees were exactly the same color. No two leaves were identical. It was an incredible masterpiece not on canvass but in real life. I was reminded of God's awesome creative power when He simply spoke the world into existence. Pretty incredible. We too are God's creation. No two exactly alike. Psalm 139:13-14 says, "For You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderul, I know that full well."

In The Beginning

I know, I know. Can you believe it? My first blog. Crazy huh? I've always said I didn't have time to blog. But if it says I have a blog, and there's no blog, then that doesn't make sense either.

Let me establish something right from the beginning. The two of you who may be reading this may be wondering about the Blog title, "My Right Mind". Those who really know me would question any claim of mine to be in my right mind. My only claim of being in my right mind is the fact that they say that left-handed people function out of the right side of their brain and right-handed people function out of the left side of their brain. So there you have it. The only possible way that I could be in my right mind is the fact that I am left-handed!

You know my biggest fear is that I am going to just absolutely love blogging and I will become a blogaholic. Do they have a support group for that? Then before you know I will get involved in fantasy football, fantasy baseball, fantasy basketball, fantasy hockey, and ultimately disc golf!

I really don't have a clue what makes a good blog or not, but I am "in the beginning" stages so we'll see.

There are things that make you go "huh?" and there are things that make you go "wow!" I had one of those wow moments yesterday. Yesterday was my wedding anniversary and I came to the realization that I have now officially be married for over half of my life! Pretty cool.
